Westfield Point is a strategic 3.5-acre site within Cumbernauld’s established Westfield Industrial Estate, positioned close to the M80/M73 interchange and offering excellent regional connectivity. Recognising the location’s strong market potential, Fusion Assets acquired the site to deliver new, flexible industrial space in an area with sustained occupier demand and a shortage of modern industrial stock..
Fusion has already completed extensive enabling works including ground remediation, regrading and full site servicing, transforming the land into a development-ready platform. Planning consent is in place for approximately 41,000 sqft of modern industrial accommodation arranged across three blocks, with units capable of subdivision to suit a range of SME and light industrial users.
Fusion Assets is now progressing the project directly, following delays caused by the collapse of the original development partner. With funding support from the Glasgow City Deal through the Enabling and Delivering Commercial Space initiative, Fusion Assets will construct the first phase of around 21,000 sqft. This will create ten new high-quality, flexible industrial units to the local market and support business growth within one of North Lanarkshire’s most established employment locations.
