Building on the success of Phase 1, Fusion Assets has continued the regeneration of the former Gartcosh steelworks by securing planning consent for further phases of development and delivering further packages of advanced infrastructure works. These have included site remediation and platforming, new access arrangements, and the provision of internal roads and utilities to open up the next development plots.
Fusion Assets is once again working with J. Smart & Co (Contractors) PLC to bring forward a second phase of high-specification industrial and logistics accommodation, comprising three new buildings with a combined floorspace of approximately 65,000 sqft.
Across Phases 2–4, a range of modern industrial units will be delivered, typically from around 10,000 to 40,000 sqft, designed to meet strong regional demand from distribution, production and light manufacturing occupiers. The new accommodation has already attracted significant interest from logistics and retail supply-chain businesses, reinforcing the market confidence established in Phase 1 and further cementing Gartcosh as a strategic employment location with excellent transport connectivity.
Together, Phases 2-4 extend the scale, quality and appeal of Gartcosh Industrial Park, supporting ongoing job creation and sustaining long-term private investment in the area.
