New development at former Ravenscraig Steelworks site
Following a tender process Fusion Assets has appointed Luddon Construction Limited as the successful contractor to build the first phase of development at Ravenscraig Enterprise Park in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire.
The phase one construction package will deliver six new energy-efficient industrial and commercial units ranging from 2,000 sqft to 16,000 sqft, designed to meet the needs of both local businesses and inward investors. The contract also incorporates a community benefits package which will see Luddon Construction deliver local education placements and work experience.
The development at Ravenscraig Enterprise Park is being taken forward with financial support from North Lanarkshire Council via Glasgow City Region’s Enabling Commercial Space Programme and The Scottish Government’s Vacant and Derelict Land Fund.
Work is anticipated to be completed by the end of the year with a second phase of development following on. Ryden have been appointed by Fusion Assets to act as Project Managers with Armour Construction Consultants acting as quantity surveyors.
CBRE have been appointed separately by Fusion Assets as property agents to market the development.
