Fusion Assets is delighted to announce the completion of the first building at its latest new development – Link Park, Newhouse in North Lanarkshire.
The 20,000 sqft Enterprise Workspace was funded through the Scottish Government’s Regeneration Capital Grant Fund along with Fusion Assets own capital resources. It represents an important first step in transforming a long term vacant and derelict site into a major new strategic manufacturing, distribution and logistics location.
Link Park is located on the Edinburgh Road (A775) at Newhouse, off Junction 6 of the M8 and lies between the new Co-Op distribution facility and WH Malcolm. The site is split into two separate development plots totalling 18 acres and has been masterplanned to include some 140,000 sqft of development spread across a number of standalone units with dedicated yards ranging in size from 12,000sqft to 22,000 sqft.
Fusion Assets originally purchased the site in 2014 and have subsequently undertaken an initial programme of enabling works to bring the brownfield site up to a development ready condition. This has included ground remediation, platforming, site servicing and the construction of new access roads into the site.
Luddon Construction was subsequently appointed as the main contractor to build the new high specification Enterprise Workspace which has subsequently been sub divided into three units to accommodate a range of local occupier requirements.
Colliers International have been appointed as marketing agent for the site and have already arranged a number of initial viewings from interested parties with the development anticipated to be fully let within 12 months of completion.
